If you’re a vet, are you not aware that dogs are trained to warn their owners when a seizure is coming.. the will jump on them until they get on the ground, bring them water, their phone etc. among many other ailments they are trained to deal with. All that being said, it’s not far fetched to think this behaviour can also be adopted in nature. If it was two rats, perhaps I would agree,but given the evidence we observe with these creatures capabilities. I think you are rambling.

If that dog really had a seizure (several people are saying it was probably a nightmare) then the other one might've picked up on holding it down because the owners did it so not really anthropomorphizing pets, just a dog being observant.

Stfu. Animals are very much capable of understanding situations like this. It is 100% possible that the other dog understood and tried to help. Hence the no tail wagging or excitement. The dog calmed down. And the other went to lay down.

If its a trained dog, it could actually be grabbing the retriever to stop it from slamming its head against something. Many service dogs are trained for this for many types of animals, not just humans. Rather than trying to tear apart an owner, maybe you should ask the questions to draw the types of conclusions that could get you litigated for slander. Nothing like stealing someone elses content to try to get famous, ms vet.
